Hoskins on verge of Valley move

Hoskins on verge of Valley move

Rumours abound this morning, that Will 'The Answer` Hoskins is set to join League One heavyweights, Charlton Athletic, on a free after being released by Watford.

Those with their finger on the Football League pulse at Sky Sports and the W`Observer reckon the Addicks have made their move for the former Rotherham hitman, who, in his 2 years in WD18, divided fans opinion.

After netting 25 times in 39 starts for Rotherham, Hoskins was once touted about as a potential £1m player with Celtic sniffing about...

...but, since leaving the comfort of the 6 yard box at Millmoor, has struggled to settle - even despite loan spells in the lower leagues with Forest and Millwall.

Granted, there have been flashes of genius and, yes, at times, Hoskins movement has indicated there is a footballing brain up there somewhere but there have always been doubts over his attitude and application.

It`s good to hear that Charlton gaffer Phil Parkinson is "a big admirer" of Hoskins though - however that might just be a whole load of filler to bulk out a bit of Sky speculation…
