'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Prized Noble proves a point

After the revelation that it was Ryan Noble`s decision to cut short his loan spell stuck on the bench at Watford and return to Sunderland, you just knew he`d be straight back on the goal hunt in the North East.

Noble, who joined amid of fanfare of 'ohhh, looks interesting` - only for our hopes to be dashed when Malky Mackay admitted he was only here "for the experience" - never got a near a sniff of match action at Vicarage Road to display his amazing goal scoring instincts (with the Hornets choosing instead to persist with that unconvincing lump labelled 'Hendo`)

And wouldn`t you know - Young Ryan only comes off the bench for the Black Cats reserves and scores the winner in the victory over Burnley - proving 1 thing… play him and he will find the net.

Sunderland reserve team gaffer Keith Bertschin was straight onto the Mackam`s 'fficial site stating "I put Ryan on and he gave us a cutting edge. He looked hungry to play, nice and sharp and he took his goal really well".

It would have been nice had Malky given himself the chance to utter the said same statement - BUT NO!

Why on earth would Ryan Noble be happy to come to Watford in the first place? Because he thought he might get a taste of first team footie. After 6 matches on the bench, I think any of us would be pretty much pi**ed off and say, well I might as well go back to Wearside and at least get a game. What a waste of time and money - and exactly WHEN we needed goals! And to add finally that Will Buckley hardly looked of the right quality either!

Complete rubbish from Oldyella IMO. Brought in as cover and MM kept us up so overall his decisions worked. Complete nonsense compounded by lack of appreciation of Buckley`s impact & obvious potential.

Buckley looks like a right ol' find in my opinion - fast, direct and, if he learns to get his head up, will be a quality signing. I think Noble was drafted in with a view to next season to be honest. We wouldn't have lost too much by having a look - but it was all a bit strange.

Apparently Noble`s sequined thong got Cowie so excited that he refused to let the kid room with anyone else. to avoid jealousy he had to go back.
