Hornet's Hand Duo Pro' Deals

Watford have today announced that two of their young crop have signed professional contracts with the Golden Boys today.

Attacking midfielders Piero Mingoia and Matty Wichelow have both signed one-year deals today at the Vic`.

The duo have joined defenders Lee Hodson and Eddie Oshodi, both of whom started the season as 2nd year scholars before penning longer-term pro` deals with the club.

However, at this time of year it`s inevitable that some 2nd year scholards will be let go and it has also been confirmed that left back Theo Angus, midfielder Cole Penny, strikers Fabrice Otshudi and Andy Yidadom have all been told they will leave at the end of the 2010 campaign.

The final player to be told his contract will not be renewed is midfielder Kurtney Brooks, the only player from that group to have sampled 1st team football after a sub appearance at Barnet in the League Cup 1st Round.

Islington-born winger Wichelow has been particularly impressive for the Hornet`s U18 side this season, scoring 11 league goals in just 15 league starts, whilst Piero Mingoia has managed 7 in 16 for the young Hornet`s.

Good luck to both Matty and Piero and the best of luck in the future to those who won`t be Hornet`s next season.
