Watford fans: Take Young to World Cup

Watford fans: Take Young to World Cup

Watford fans would take former Hornet, Ashley Young, to the World Cup this summer if they found themselves in Fabio Capello`s rather plush italian leather shoes...

...according to a recent VITALWATFORD POLL

The Aston Villa winger doesn`t appear to be particularly in the reckoning to board the plane headed for South Africa at present but the Vicarage Road faithful have backed Young - from a handpicked shortlist of contenders from the recent Hornets past - to stake a claim to feature in Fabio`s 22.

Young Ashley picked up an astounding 51% of the VitalWatford poll - an overwhelming majority that surprises Dr Watford, who himself would have packed former loanee Adam 'Jinky' Johnson`s bags for him and personally handed him his boarding pass.

In fact, the £7m Man City man strangley pulled in only 19% of the poll whilst Manchester Utd 3rd choice stopper Ben Foster rolled up 3rd with 10%.

Young`s Villa teammate - and Watford 'one game Wonder` - Gabby Agbonlahor will be disappointed with his lowly ranking with only 8% - Here at VitalWatford, we reckon Hornet fans never really got to see anything of the true Gab!

Will Fabio listen? Probably not…

Has Young done enough to get the nod?

Could ol` Jinky Johnson be the surprise package?

Who's your Number 1 if Foster is no longer in the reckoning?
