Watford keen to recapture Clever Tom

Watford want to snap exciting Manchester United starlet 'Clever` Tom Cleverley for another season on loan - but admit it "it is not in our control" with the wing wizard tipped for bigger and better things.

The Hornets - who were widely believed to be making plans for when Cleverley returned to Old Trafford when they signed St Mirren midfielder wee Stevie McGinn - have confirmed that they`d just love it if they were able to capture Clever Tom for another spell in WD18.

When pushed by the W`Observer whether he`d want the England U21 star back "If there is a point where dialogue opens up and we are able to keep Tom Cleverley and Manchester United would like him to come back here, then absolutely that would be the case".

Well, let`s face it, it was hardly an enlightening answer to a rather non sensicle question wasn`t it.

Who wouldn`t want to keep one of the hottest prospects in the land, the nailed on favourite to win Player of the Season and a kid who is being tee`d up as the 'next Ryan Giggs`???

Phew! No wonder our Braveheart boss added "it has absolutely nothing to do with us or nothing we can affect...".

That may be the case Malky but Sir Alex can only be impressed with what Clever Tom has achieved at Vicarage Road and well, you just never know...

Look at the extended loan of Ben Foster a few seasons back - all we gotta do is get promoted and dragging Clever Tom kicking and screaming from Old Trafford could become reality.

It`s not much to ask for now, is it?
