Willo hope for a warm Watford welcome

Oh the Watford boo-boys are just gonna love this...

Former Hornet (and failed Premier League wannabe) Mike Williamson has told of his wish for a warm welcome from the Watford fans when he returns to Vicarage Road - with Newcastle on Saturday - despite leaving under a rather large cloud less than 5 months ago.

'Big time charlie' Williamson, who threw a strop and a sickie when the lure of the bright lights and filthy lucre on offer at Portsmouth caught his eye, is the current pantomime dame on the Hornets 'most hated` hitlist.

... but he admits "hopefully I will get a good reception" and says he is "looking forward to going back" when he turns out for those pesky Geordies at the weekend!!!

Hmm, his comments in today`s Newcastle Evening Chronicle may prove to not be the wisest of decisions he`s made of late (well that, and joining crisis club Pompey, of course) as the boo-boys will, no doubt, be clearing their throats as we speak.

After making just 22 games for Watford, Williamson insisted "I owe Watford a lot - they gave me the chance to make the next step into the Championship... I`ll always be grateful for that".

And the sad thing is Mikey, my man, is that we were very 'grateful` to have you and your 6ft4 sized frame in our backline until you turned your back on us.

Williamson did go on to admit "I had a great time there and I`ve got a lot of close friends there that I still speak to" but then confirmed "I`ll put those friendships to one side and do whatever I can to get three points for Newcastle".

Let`s face it, Williamson might well come back to haunt us on Saturday so we can only hope that that self diagnosed 'injury` that meant he didn`t board the team bus to Swansea (and signalled a premature end to his Hornet career) springs up unexpectedly again...

warm welcome indeed, he showed complete disresepect to the club and fans by his tantrum, the only warm welcome he would get from me is if i have the chance to urinate from a hight upon him, sorry if that offends

He did great for us and helped turn last season around, we made a lot of money out of him and he did well out of us, so there is no reason for ill feelings, but obviously not a warm reception.

Unfortunately if Portsmouth go into Admin as expected Friday all outstanding payments due to us will be wiped off.

We are talking about the same player? the one who fained sickness and refused to play against Swansea? The player who is alledgedly a Profesional? He may have made the club some money, but because he threw all his toys out of the pram and sulked to get what he wanted he is welcome back at the club? Come saturday i guess we will see what kind of reception he gets! With regards to goats comments, not quite right. Premier league have already stated that clubs owed money wil receive all payments from tv rights money due in the future.

Andy, he feigned injury not illness, but he must be mentally ill if he doubts that I for one will give him some stick. I hope for 3 points and *****erson carried off injured.

In the absence of a Brendan Rodgers visit to the Vic' this season I'm glad Mike Williamson has dropped back down - he can take the abuse for both! What a deluded individual to think he's going to get a good reception.

He is totally evil and has personally caused the Haiti & south American disasters. I have no doubt that he will donate his very high wages to helping those people out.
