Malky: It's been 'stop start' at Watford

Braveheart Watford boss Malky Mackay has insisted "it was the right decision" to postpone last night`s derby with the (not so) Super Hoops of QPR but admitted all this chopping and changing of the fixture list is getting rather annoying!!!

Torrential rain put paid to the Hornets clash at Loftus Road - the 5th Watford game to be shifted in the schedule in 2010 - and Mackay stated "it is very disappointing for us as it`s been stop start over the last couple of months in terms of weather and FA Cup fixtures".

In fact, the Hornets have only played 6 times since the turn of the year and now face a potential 'Mad Month` with 9 (maybe, 10) games back to back as they look to catch up…which is plain crazy and a right ol` hit on the dedicated fans pocket!

Lil` Jon Harley dubbed it "a death of a month" and Malky backed him up insisting "March is already busy…there are a lot games already coming up…".

There`s also been little chance of reserve team action to get games into the legs of new additions wee Stevie McGinn and Will Buckley with all games for the stiffs kicked to the kerb so far this year!

But the Hornets gaffer still didn`t think that his side should have faced QPR - even in the driving rain, on a waterlogged pitch - to ease the pressures on their backlog of games. Oh no, on the postponement he added "we got there, stepped onto the pitch and realised it was getting worse so it was the right decision. There were parts of the pitch which weren`t very good at all...".

Seems a sensible decision then but boy, what a month ahead! It definitely is going to make or break our season.
