'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tiny's taylormade for Watford's Jay

Watford might not have a Valentines date to look forward to this weekend - after Neil Warnock decided his Palace were going to flirt outrageously with the romance of the FA Cup - but it appears a relationship is still blooming in WD18...

That`s right Cupid might well have shot his arrow in the right direction with Martin 'Tiny` Taylor and Jay Demerit gushing with praise about their new found defensive double act.

First up and it was Taylor who admitted he`s fitted in quite nicely thankyou alongside the strapping Yank at the er, heart, of the Hornets backline. Tiny told the 'fficial site "Jay`s a good talker" adding "he`s got a lot of experience...[at Championship level]".

But it was our star spangled American centre back who appeared more smitten.

In fact, Demerit came over all a tad yankie doodle dandy, stating "I think we compliment each other very well... the relationship can hopefully get better".

(ok, here at VitalWatford we admit we`ve chopped about with Jay`s words a bit to make it fit the tone of this article but you`d never have guessed that, huh?)

Jay even admitted that he`s "more comfortable with a more physical partner to my side" - and at a commanding 6ft4, few come 'more physical` than Tiny Taylor...

Hmmm, size matters and all that!

Still, after 2 clean sheets at home on the bounce and a much improved defensive performance playing away, this could clearly be the start of a beautiful friendship!
