Robins rave about Hornets hitmen

The very likeable Bristol City boss, Gary Johnson, has admitted his side "were second best all over the park" in the 2-0 defeat to Watford then waxed lyrical about the Hornets frontline who rocked his Robins.

Johnson reserved special praise for H and Danny 'oh so nearly Golden again` Graham after the Hornets hitmen pulled his makeshift defence all over the place for 45 first half minutes at least.

The City boss stated "They bullied us in the first half - the centre forwards got hold of everything and we got hold of nothing. [Watford`s] strikers were lively, moving our lads around a lot and causing us all sorts of problems throughout the first half".

He even admits that the second half 'improvement` (???) was because City`s gameplan at half time was to "get stronger with the Watford front 2".

Whilst a lot of the noise out of the Hornets camp was about clean sheets and the much improved defensive showing - since the arrival of Tiny - it's good that our attacking prowess looks as solid as ever...

Maybe, just maybe this will send a message to Malky that playing 4-5-1 away from home perhaps isn`t the answer & that Danny Boy & H is a partnership that is worth pursuing?

Danny neads a goal badly and really his goal at Barnsly should have stood. Keep going Danny boy it'll come

Dannys work rate up front has been fantastic all season he may be a bit short on goals in the last few games but having a player who is constant thorn in the opponents defence makes spaces for other players to score goals as we have seen when he plays with HH along side him, if Heskey can make a career out of it, then why not Danny he has a much better strike rate! keep the partnership going home and away. come on you orns!!!

Dr Watford - just to reminds you we got wins at Plymouth and Boro 2/3rds of our away wins this season playing 4-5-1 as well as a draw at Ipswich and home demolitions against Sheff Wed & Sheff Utd. Not saying 4-4-2 can't work but check your facts out first!!!

Chris, true mostly but check facts you say? well,Ipswich draw came from throwing on a second striker, one Nathan (waster) Ellington in fact.
