Hornets ready for 6th spot scrap

Watford`s Mr Versatility, Lil` Jon Harley, reckons his fellow Hornets are ready, willing and able to push on and "nick" the last play off place come May - all thanks to a "death of a month" coming up in March.

The Hornets have 8 games in a "very hectic" March - 5 at home, 3 away - with fellow play off contenters Boro, Cardiff, Swansea and Palace (yes, really) all lined up but Lil` Jon is well aware that there are a whole rack of sides all with one reasonable eye on that 6th spot.

Harley told the Hornets 'fficial site "…its getting to that stage of the season now where everyone wants to kick on and nick the last Play Off spot which is looking like it`s anyones at the moment".

And he`s not the only one. Oh no, there`s definitely talk of looking up (rather than looking down) in the Watford camp now. Even 'Tiny` Martin Taylor told the 'fficial site "…if we can get in and around the Play-Offs this season that would be brilliant - Everyone wants this club in the Premier League and its definitely obtainable".

Here at VitalWatford Towers, we`re certainly not gonna argue with the big lad and we reckon (after a quick look at the table) that anyone down to Derby in 15th have a decent shot at leapfrogging Leicester in the last Play Off place if they can put a decent run together.

In fact, Dr Watford would even suggest that QPR and Palace might have a thing or 2 to say about that as well - with 10 points covering 15 teams in a midtable minefield like no other!

So, no wonder then that Lil` Jon insists its imperative that Watford "get something from the next 2 away fixtures" at Sunny Scunnie and the Not so Super Hoops of QPR to "set us up nicely".

It could be an interesting next 3 months or so!

At the start of the season if anyone said would you take 21st position i would have snapped their hands off, finishing midtable is a bonus, play offs, adds to the season, but so long as we don not go down, i don't care.

Our home form is too good for us to go down but we desperately need to start picking up a few points away... Ok, that's not rocket science I know but with 5 home games in March we should be safe by Easter.

seeing as i thought we were in for a relegation battle at the start of the season a mid table finish would be lovely anything more then that would be a complete bonus

Always thought 10th-12th most likely with 8th possible.Still feel the same. Incidentally, friend of a friend with a brother in the police, tells me that Cleverley is being prosecuted for drink driving. May not be true but is believed to be.

Ooooo keep us posted on that Dirk!!!

Final play-off place? Not with our away form and clean sheet record! I am looking up into the sky and seeing pigs looking for landing lights.
