Leeds duo miss out on play-off final

Leeds United will be unable to call upon Richard Cresswell and Stephen Crainey for the Championship play-off final against the Golden Boys.

Both players will be unable to play as they were sent off in the second leg of the play-off semi-final defeat of Preston North End at Deeepdale on Monday. Former Preston forward Cresswell and full-back Crainey were dismissed for two bookable offences and will serve one-match bans meaning they are unable to play in next Sunday’s Championship play-off final at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.

The duo will miss out on arguably the most important match off their careers as it has been confirmed by the Football League that Leeds United have no right of appeal.

" good luck against leeds- i hope you do them over big time"

They were silly to get sent off in the way that they did, and I am sure they would have lost any appeal, but I do not believe that a player has no right of appeal when he has been sent off and suspended. It would be against their human rights. BTW good luck from all Luton supporters for obvious reasons!

That was irony btw ;-)
