No £2m but Spurs want Loach on loan

The phone call that Malky Mackay would have been desperately hoping not to take has allegedly been received at Vicarage Road... but it wasn't quite what he was expecting.

Sky have suggested that Spurs have slapped in a £2m last ditch bid for Scott Loach…but the folks in the know at the Watford Observer reckon ol' Harry only wanted a loan deal for the Hornets stopper!!!

The cheek of it. Of course, Watford rejected such a pointless approach from the Premier League big time charlies.

BR>
Oh why couldn`t the Spurs gaffer not turned his tax-dodging attentions to Cov`s Kieron Westwood or Posh boy Joe Lewis instead!?!

The club coffers at Vicarage Road are bone dry but we can only hope that Malky Mackay will stand by his pledge that he doesn`t have to sell unless he gets something "ridiculous".

Even assuming there is some substance to the Sky stories,Spurs` £2m bid is "ridiculous" - ridiculously low that is for England`s U21 goalkeeper with the world at his feet and a contract that runs through to 2012.

With Watford having to fork out 25% to Lincoln as part of the sell on clause in Loach`s contract, they should be looking for £3.5+ for their prized asset.

He will become highly sought after when the 'home grown` rule comes into play in just over 6 months time and will no doubt command a great deal more in the summer!

TELL EM TO P**S OFF MALKY!!. Would be a totally pointless move. You only have to look at Ben Foster recently to see what sitting on the bench does to your form

Now Spurs are linked with a £5.5m swoop for Foster... they are desperate for a back up keeper.
