Game OFF

A frozen pitch means another re-arranged fixture for the Hornet's as today's clash with Swansea cannot go ahead. The home clash with Sheffield United has already been moved to this Tuesday and this afteroons game has also fallen foul.

An undersoil heating malfunction last night, coupled with the freezing conditions left referee Trevor Kettle with no choice but to call the game off.

Details of the new date will follow.

As the steward said at the ground 'its health and safety gone mad' 10 years ago this would have been played no problem with a coloured ball

No mention of Tuesday's game as yet Bladesman. I would have thought it should be ok so long as the heating is fixed.

Fiasco! 200 mile round trip, AND I checked Website before setting off @ 10am! Brief mention of an inspection on 3CR when I was 12 miles away, as my car showed +4% outside @ 11.35 and kick off not til 3pm I assumed it would be on. Very poor communication by the club in my view.

I see that St Albans managed to get their game on, on Saturday. How come we couldn't. Wonder if we'll get a statement from the club today?? Wouldn't hold my breat though.
