Malky: My heart feels for Palace

Malky: My heart feels for Palace

Braveheart Watford boss, Malky Mackay has kept up his Mr Nice Guy reputation by insisting he feels for Crystal Palace after the Hornets` Championship rivals fell into administration…

…and dropped like a stone down the table with the crippling -10 penalty.

Mackay, who revealed to the London Evening Standard that he was 'kept fully aware of everything' by the moneymen at Vicarage Road when the wolves came to the Watford door just before Christmas, stated '[Palace] are a club that have come back from this before and I hope they do it again'.

In truth, here at VitalWatford Towers, we`re not sure how many Watford fans will feel quite the same as the gaffer - especially after Palace supreme, Simon Jordon`s comments about the Hornets being an 'embarrassment' to the Premier League` a few seasons back.

But you can`t help but feel Malky actually means it. Our Braveheart boss added "My heart goes out to everybody at Palace today…to Neil Warnock, his players and the staff that work at the club…"

"You'll find somebody who has worked there for years. The administrators will come in and they'll be gone tomorrow, it's so hard and it's desperately disappointing."

Hmm, sentimentality is all very touching Malky but we`d rather you put your caring, sharing head to one side for a minute and slap in a ridiculously low bid for centre back Patrick McCarthey

And offer £100k for Darren Ambrose whilst you`re at it - then again, I`m not sure we need another midfielder!!!!

Indeed. They may be London rivals and we may have had our controversial moments against them (5-1 home defeat, Andy Johnson diving etc) but we musn't forget that their plight could also have been ours'. We were very close to a 10 point deduction too.
