Kiernan heading to Killie?

Last week he was being linked with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City, this week Rob Kiernan has linked up with Jimmy Calderwood's Kilmarnock side with the view to a loan deal with the SPL outfit.

The 19 year-old Republic of Ireland U19 skipper has joined Killie on a trial for a few days with the view to signing a loan deal until the end of the present campaign, and so far, so good for the centre-half:

'I've got a young lad in at the moment from Watford who is a centre-half. He is going to be with us for a couple of days and we will have a look at him. He did really well in training (today).' Calderwood told the Watford Observer.

Kiernan made his professional debut last debut as a sub at the death in the 4-3 home Cup win over Crystal Palace and was arguably partly at fault for the final Palace goal. However he is highly rated by the coaching staff at Vicarage Road and looks highly likely to sign a new deal in WD18 with his current contract expiring in the Summer.
