'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Johnson quashes Harley talk

Bristol City gaffer, and former Hornet's back-roomer, Gary Johnson has denied that he is lining up a move for Hornet's utility man, Jon Harley.

Former Chelski and Fulham man Harley had been linked heavily with a move to Ashton Gate after scarcely featuring under Malky this season, but Johnson has denied the rumours:

'He was on our list and we did ask about him, but since we've signed Jamal there's nothing there now,' Johnson told the club's official website.

'I think that's probably Jon's agent or representatives making others aware of his availability.'
Johnson told the Watford Observer.

However, Harley's future may well lie away from Vicarage Road as he is out of contract at the end of the season, and having only made 9 starts this season, it seems likely the thirty-one year old will be looking for regular football elsewhere next season.
