Jonathan goes North

Young Hornet's stopper Jonathan North has joined Southern League side Oxford City on loan for a month.

The shaggy-haired Hornet's stopper is yet to make his first-team debut for the club and has joined the part-timers on a months loan to gain first-team experience.

Former Wales U21 cap North was re-signed in the Summer following his release by Brendan Rodgers to provide cover for Richard Lee and Scott Loach and has only made the bench in the Carling Cup ties versus Barnet and Leeds.

North debuted in a 1-0 loss at the weekend against Tiverton.

All the best Jonathan!

Have to admit when I saw W'Observer headline 'Keeper leaves on loan' given our financial state!!!!

I thought it was Richard Lee personally at first, seemed to make sense to move him on seeing as he'd be on 1st team wages and having only made two apps this season. Glad you were wrong!
