'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Citizens eye up Hornets scholar

Those cheeky sports hacks at The Sun have shifted their speculation meddling pens away from Watford rookie keeper Scott Loach for just a moment but moved it to another Hornet starlet who shouldn`t even be on their radar.

Everyone`s favourite 'Current Bun` reckon that Watford`s Academy captain and 2nd year scholar Rob Kiernon, is attracting major Premier League interest with Arsenal, Spurs and Man City sniffing about the 19 year old Irish midfielder/defender as his contract comes to an end.

Kiernon, who is highly regarded at Vicarage Road having been there since the age of 9, is an unlikely link to the big time - having only turned pro in 14 months ago - but you can`t help but feel there must be something in the rumour given young Rob has had only 1 minute of first team action!!!

Let`s hope though that Irish U19 international Kiernon is more in the Ross Jenkins mould and doesn`t have the odd bout of the 'Harry Forrester`s` about him.

The grass can't be that much greener at such a tender age...CAN IT?!?
