GT Stays On

Watford legend and two-time former manager, Graham Taylor has been appointed Chairman of the club's Board until June 2010.

Taylor, who was only appointed to the Watford Leisure PLC board back in the Spring of 2009 recently stepped up to become interim chairman following Jimmy Russo's shock resignation at December's AGM.

It has since then been confirmed that the former Wolves, Lincoln, Aston Villa and England manager will continue in his role until June 30th 2010, not only giving the remaining board members a chance to appoint a new chairman, but leaving Malky Mackay's young playing squad with the best chance possible to improve on their superb start to the campaign, free of distraction.

Everyone at VitalWatford Towers would like to take this opportunity to thank Graham for his hard-work and support in these difficult times and wish him all the best for the next six months at the helm.
