Russo's Reject Rescue Plan

Jimmy and Vince Russo have REJECTED the plan of Lord Michael Ashcroft which would repay their loans to the Hornet's and go some way to making up the £5.5m shortfall.

The squat Italian duo have rejected the resuce package devised by Lord Ashcroft's FordWat company this afternoon.

This latest twist in the Hornet's saga leaves Watford leaning perilously over the edge of the cliff of administration with no real prospect of rescue deal being secured at this late stage.

It seems more and more likely that Watford Leisure PLC will be placed in administration sooner rather than later. The resulting ten-point deduction would leave Malky Mackay's Golden Boys in the final safe place in the Championship and just two points ahead of Ipswich Town.

There is as yet, no official statement from the club.

what the hell is going on in that board room, are we really gonig to fall into administration with this infighting, now it seems the russos are willing it to happen just to screw over ashcroft and his shares. All the fantastic and hard work put in by malky and the boys will be for nothing, we will go from playoff hopefuls to relagation fighters yet again and with the loanees going home in the summer i fear it will be the same next season. GT bang some heads together or get EJ to have one of his famous outbursts at them, sort it out you dam fools.

Well thanks a bunch Jimmy Russo. He always said that he would put the club first but it seem he was just another Simpson. I can't believe my club will go into Administation because of a salad boy who doesn't care about anyone but himself. Yeah, he's put money in, but now he is screwing us over! I always thought the probl was Ashcroft, but at least he seems to want to help now - when it matters. Let's hope Elton can find a few million under the bed by 8am tomorrow, otherwise relegation battle here we come and bye to all our best players.

SEJ has said he will not be putting any more money in. And who can blame him? He's had his stint at the top.
