Ambrose is Watford's bogeyman!

Ambrose is Watford's bogeyman!

With Darren Ambrose having found the net in every game he`s played against Watford over the last 2 years, 8 months, you`d have thought that Malky Mackay and his coaching staff would know all about the goal scoring antics of the in-form Palace playmaker… but oh no.

Ambrose, who is on fire for the Eagles since his summer move from Charlton, has netted in each of the last 4 clashes with the Hornets - home and away - since March 2007 so it was no surprise really that he kept up his unblemished record with a crackerjack past Scott Loach in Saturday`s demolition at Selhurst Park.

Even loveable Palace gaffer, Neil Warnock, joked "Darren was subdued today at how we scored 2 goals and he has not got one of them before the break'.

Warnock - who was incredibly complimentary about the Hornets with both the pre and post match comments - added "[Ambrose] was in shock and then he goes and pulls out a strike like that out of the cupboard to make it 3-0 win and seal the win".

Simple truth is Ambrose just can`t stop scoring against Watford!
