Elton to give Chelsea boss the Blues?

Elton to give Chelsea boss the Blues?

Chelsea gaffer Carlo Ancelotti clearly mistook the FA Cup for an episode of Stars in Your Eyes yesterday after insisting he`s desperate to meet Elton John when his side were, once again, drawn with Watford from the 3rd Round velvet bag.

The Hornet`s most famous fan was the first thing of the lips of the Italian after ol` Carlo was quizzed about his upcoming cup opponents. The er, exciteable Italian stated "The owner of Watford many years ago was Elton John - Elton John is my favourite singer. The match will be an opportunity to meet Elton John."

Hmmm, sorry to be the bearer of bad news Mr Ancelotti but Elton isn`t a Watford regular at Vicarage Road these days and will need to made travel arrangements from the States if he is to make the clash at Stamford Bridge….

….so I guess that that`s why they call it the Blues!!!

Ancelloti went on to add that he`d need to do more than just pull a copy of Rocketman from his CD collection in order to gen up on all things yellow, confirming "I do not know Watford very well at the moment but I will have the opportunity to learn about them".

Watford, on the other hand, will have no such concerns about the homework they will need to do on their opponents. The 3rd Round clash at Stamford Bridge will be the 3rd time in 5 years that the Hornets have faced Chelsea in the FA Cup….

After giving the eventual winners one almighty scare in last season`s competition (before succumbing to a 3-1 defeat), Watford fans will be hoping that "still standing" when the 4th Round draw is made this time out…
