Hornets handed timely Chelsea trip

Malky Mackay's high-flying Hornet's take on Carlo Ancelotti's Premier League Chelsea in a money-spinning FA Cup sponsored by E.on 3rd Round Tie.

The game will be played on the weekend of the 2nd/3rd January 2010.

Watford and Chelsea have met thrice in the FA Cup of late, with the Hornet's eventually losing 3-1 to the Blues in the 5th Round last year after Tamas Priskin handed the 'Orns a shock lead. A Nico Anelka hat-trick saw Hiddink's Blues through though.

Under Ray Lewington the Golden Boys took the Stamford Bridge side to a replay in 2004 after a 2-2 draw at the Vic'. The result was never in doubt as Chelsea ran out 4-0 winners, the Hornet's best chance came through former midfielder Jamie Hand who struck the post in the first half.

Come on you 'Orns!
