Laws: Owls 'a shambles' at Watford

Furious Owls boss Brian Laws blasted his woeful Wednesday outfit "a shambles" after seeing his side smashed 4-1 by a rampant Watford live in the front of the Friday night Sky cameras.

Straight talking Laws insisted he`d "been let down" by the utterly flat Yorkshire pudding of a performance put on by his Wednesdayites and admitted he "had no complaints about the result" which really didn`t do Watford`s dominance justice.

In fact the Owls gaffer reckoned it could have been worse, stating "Watford were walking through our defence like a hot knife through butter...Watford worked hard. They`ve done their homework on us".

Indeed, the homework was done well by all but it was Hooray Henri Lansbury and Clever Tom who played up to the cameras and stood out with a show of youth exurberance, according to Laws.

He added of the on song Hornets pair "We gave them too much freedom. The two of the them have energy and they caused us problems".

No wonder then that Braveheart Watford boss is wanting showdown talks with Arsene Wenger and Alex Ferguson about extending the loan deals of his teenage headline makers.

Wow i don't think i have seen watford knock the ball about like that for a while,i don't know weather it was because we were on t.v or not.Seemed to me like lansbury and cleverly wanted to make abit of an impression in front of the camera! if so i hope sky sports can put us on more often, ideally before january so we can get some more of that please! cathcart was also impressive the whole team performed very well. wenesday to be fair could of scored two or three also, johnson should have done better on occassion's. West brom next really don't know what way this game is going to go.I would not put money on a draw!
