Mark C-Ashton sent packing

Bruv's Jimmy and Vince has always maintained they would fight off and beat Mark Cashton as the former Hornet's Cheif Exec. tried to fleece the club for 300k for a 'breech of contract'.

The former Wycombe and West Brom money grabber left shortly after former Chairman Graham Simpson having no doubt swiped the last few pennies from the club's diminshed coffers.

Watford have this evening confirmed Ashton has withdrawn his high court claim and will now a significant amount towards Watford's legal costs for the case - a nice gesture!

New Cheif Exec. and thoroughly affable chap, Julian Winter had this to say: 'Throughout the club has maintained Mr Ashton's claims were without merit. I am pleased Mr Ashton has withdrawn his claim and will be reimbursing the club for some of the costs incurred.'

A huge collective sigh of relief was no doubt in order as another 300k to pay out was the last thing Jimmy and Vince needed.

Gotta hand it to the Russo's - stated at the fans forum that Cashton wasn't getting a bean and has stood by his word. Good work Watford legal guys.

i wonder how much this has cost the club, i know that ashton has paid towards our bill, but was it all necassary? He is like a rotton smell that keeps coming back... i hope that this is the end of him with regards to anything to do with our club. infact, i hope it is the end of him.
