DeMerit Undergoes Surgery
After the best part of a month spent 'umm-ing' and 'ah-ing' over the best course of action to take for skipper Jay DeMerit's dicky eye, the Hornet's centre back has today undergone surgery.
Captain America cut his eye with his contact lense after returning from international duty with the United States. The situation worsened as they eye become infected.
Braveheart, Malky Mackay today confirmed the news that Jay had undergone surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital, where he had his 'cornea' replaced. And for those of you not as up on their human anatomy as some of us [!], the cornea is the transparent dome-shaped anterior portion of the outer covering of the eye; it covers the iris and pupil.
VitalWatford wishes Jay DeMerit a speedy and successful recovery, God knows we need him back already!
