Ellington u-turn

After last week telling the Watford Observer that he was content at Vicarage Road, former Baggies striker Nathan Ellington has had a change of heart.

In a u-turn that will no doubt irk the Hornets faithful, the £3.25million flop told Sky Sports News that,'The circumstances that I find myself in, and that the club's in, I think it's actually best that I will end up moving pretty soon,'

Indeed, it was only last week the beardy front man was proclaiming his happiness at Vicarage Road, citing Malky Mackay 'all' the reasons he was happy in WD18.

The deluded forward then claimed that something may yet come out of his week-long trial with Blackburn Rovers over the Summer just gone:

'I think I've left a good imprint on (Blackburn's) minds. It's just how I do now while I'm at Watford, or wherever I am, how I do in the season.

'I think they could assess the situation further when the time comes.'

Saw the interview on Sky,his problems are all everyone else's fault not down to his poor play, also I wonder if prior permission was sought from the club? IF Blackburn were interested I'd have thought they would have made a move by now,but if he really wants away perhaps he should be asked to be released from his contract rather than continue to pickup his excessive wages. But at least this interview will stop those fans calling for him to be retained longer term at the Vic.

The interview is almost the same as the one he had given to the watford observer, nothing new in it, Watford want him off the books too, so it cuts both ways, I still think he is better than what Hoskins has to offer.

If he wants out that badly, he should ask to be let go and waive to compensation for the termination of his contract. That would be best for everyone. ANDY710, there is something new in it, he's now saying he wants to leave as apposed to he's happy here.

I have to laugh about the line on Sky of Ellington being used as an "impact" player as he's not actually scored a goal yet, some impact, although he did manage to get himself sent off so perhaps that's what they mean?
