Webber to make it Horns Hattrick

After a trial period at Fratton Park, former Hornets striker Danny Webber is set to link up with Mike Judas Williamson and Tommy Smith at Premiership strugglers Portsmouth.

Webber left Sheffield United last season and had been linked with a move to Swansea or Middlesborough whilst former gaffer Neil Warnock had been mooted as a possible suitor at Palace.

The pacey striker has 47 goals 213 career appearances but looks set to become striking backup to Tommy Smith and Lyon-loanee Piquionne.

Webber is set to net a two-year contract with the South Coast outfit.

I can't say that we at Pompey are that chuffed with our current plight. And with due respect to you, three ex-Watford players aren't quite what we expected to replace the real talent we had. No doubt we are getting ready for next season when we will play you in the championship!!!

David James is also an ex-Watford player remember. Be sure to treat Smudger well and he'll do well for you, couldn't give a monkeys about the other two though.

He is long forgotten, don't think he had the best of times at sheff utd either! no way a premiership player. Storagematt pompey seem to stand quite well against city,it's going to take time for a whole new look pompey side to find there way at first! got to remember it's a long old haul of a season ahead.Nothing is certain just yet! got to give it time. Remember correct me if i am wrong,a few season's ago portsmouth were in the bottom three and looked certain for the drop! and rednapp came back from southampton, with a handfull of games to spare and managed to keep it alive for u's! so any fan thinking there team is for the drop at this stage of the season is bonkers .
