Captain America Crocked

It was tempting fate to end August with only two recognised centre backs on the books so it's hardly surprising that just four days into life without Mike Judas Williamson, Captain America, Jay DeMerit is crocked.

Cue collective groan...

The Hornet's all action centre half was away this week on international duty with the U.S.A and to add to the jetlag of an eight-odd hour flight, the centre half will miss the States match with El Salvador.

After some extensive digging, VitalWatford can reveal the popular American hasn't trained this week with his American team-mates due to a groin strain.

The extent of the strain is not yet known but here's hoping it stays at the 'strain' stage as it's fair to say Jay's groin has more often than not been his achilles heal.

Maybe an opportunity for Severin to show his value at the back as he's hardly set the world alight in midfield (where we do have other options).... Come on you Golden Boys!
