Stoke striker set for showdown talks
Stoke beanpole, Richard Cresswell is to hold talks with Stoke City manager Tony Pulis regarding his future after a deadline day move failed to materialise.
'The gaffer here is happy for me to stay and, if I do, I am more than happy to keep working hard to be available for as long as I am here. My contract is up at the end of the season, but if I do stay this season it goes without saying I will give 100 per cent.
'I've already been involved in most games this season, but I probably need to have a long chat with the gaffer now to see what's what.'
Said Cresswell who went on to confirm their were deadline day approaches from Championship clubs -
'A couple of clubs came in on deadline day, but at that moment it wasn't right for me.' He told The Senitel
As we revealed here at VitalWatford several weeks ago, the six foot something forward, is being lined up for a move to WD18 after falling down the pecking order after the arrival of Tuncay.
In fact, things have gotten so bad, even big Mama Sidibe is ahead of the former Leeds and PNE powerhouse! Yes, thats Mama '39 goals in 235 league starts' Sidibe.
Thankfully, Cresswell boasts a better record than that and is only two league goals shy of a century in his cumulative 335 league starts for clubs primarily based in the North.
The loan window re-opens on September 8th with clubs allowed to sign a player on loan for anything up to 92 days.
