Bhoy, oh Bhoy! Watford eye O'Dea

VitalWatford are tipping Braveheart Watford boss, Malky Mackay, to raid his former club, Celtic and snap up young left-sided centre back Darren O`Dea on loan for the season.

Braveheart, who made 44 games for the Bhoys, has made his intentions clear to get another defender in before the transfer window slams shut and VitalWatford have reason to believe that the Hornets are in the running to lure O`Dea over the border.

The The former Irish U21 centre back, who was targeted by Burnley in January, has publicly declared his desire to leave Parkhead on loan to gain first team experience and Sky Sports reckon he`s headed to the Championship on a season long deal.

O`Dea has already played 50 times for Celtic - including the Champions League clashes with Arsenal - scoring 5 goals in all competitions and is expected to be offered a new deal by Tony Mowbray before heading off on loan.

At 6ft1, the young bhoy might not quite have the height to replace the sulky figure of Mike Williamson but he is still a solid enough defender with a decent pedigree and, more importantly, a burning desire to play the game (rather than sit on a Premier League bench and count his cash like some we could mention).

Go get him Malky.

Id deffinately have him at the vic! Ive seen him play a few times and he doesnt seem to put a foot wrong, hes been pretty unlucky not to get in over Caldwell!!!!

somewhat typically, O'Dea just signed a 3 year contract extension at Celtic, and immediatly joins... you got it, READING on a season long loan =|
