Hooray Henri - Hornets land Lansbury

Watford have quickly gotten over the disappointment on missing out on the signature of striker Paul Gallagher by snapping up Arsenal and England youth midfielder Henri Lansbury on loan for 5 months.

The hot prospect Gunner, who has just returned from the U19 European Championships in the Ukraine, was expected to make a move north to Sunny Scunny but instead opted to jump over the training ground wall at London Colney and join Watford instead.

Lansbury, who has been handed the vacant number 5 jersey (so not reserved for Shittu!) made 12 appearances for the Iron last season, scoring 4 goals and was wanted back by Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins.

And it was the Iron gaffer who let the cat out of the bag that the Hornets had entered the race for the Arsenal youngster by telling the Scunthorpe Telegraph that Arsene Wenger had revealed "another Championship club from the London area are interested in him too".

By all accounts the decision to join Malky Mackay`s revolution at Watford was solely down to the player which suggests that our Braveheart boss has the full backing of the some country`s elite - especially after Sir Alex Ferguson convinced Tom Cleverley to leave Old Trafford for Vicarage Road in midweek.
