Falkirk reject Watford Arfield bid
Rumours aplenty that Malky Mackay`s Scottish revolt at Watford has been thwarted in it`s tracks after a move for fresh faced Falkirk midfielder, Scott Arfield, has failed to get off the ground and over Hadrians Wall!
The Star reckon that the Braveheart Watford boss has had a £300k bid for the Scottish Under 21 international turned down by the SPL side, who are believed to be valuing the free scoring Arfield at a cool £1.5m.
In which case, Smithy must be worth £10m in used Scottish notes such must be the exchange rate north of the border.
We know what you are thinking - not another bl**dy Scottish midfielder.
Aye, and we have to admit that we don`t know a huge amount about Arfield, expect that he`s come through the youth set-up at Falkirk, turned out for Scotland B in May and is closing in on 80 career games - even though he`s only 20!
