Watford to go to Elland back in Cup

Watford to go to Elland back in Cup

Ooooo, it brings back memories of that heady day in Cardiff and THAT Jason Drysdale winner way back in 1992 after Watford were drawn away to Leeds United in the Carling Cup 2nd Round draw, live on Sky.

The Hornets have been handed a tough ol` trip to Elland Road after seeing off the League Two Bees of Barnet and will be wary of Simon Grayson`s men who saw off Darlo on Monday night thanks to a strike by former Luton Down striker Enoch Showunmi.

Elsewhere, and the pick of the draw will surely be the right ol` ding dong between the Happy Hammers and Millwall. The VitalWatford boys eyes have also been drawn to Brum v Saints, Man City v Palace and the sensationalist Sky team will no doubt be licking their lips with the 'Fergie v Keano showdown` as Posh draw Ip`switch.

Could it have been a worse draw for Watford? Perhaps, but look on the positive side of things, Watford have a 100% perfect League Cup record against the Yorkshiremen having played them twice before - a 4-0 Round 3 win up north in 1984 (a good cup year) and of course that 2-1 epic at the Vic when Leeds were English champions.
