Watford should consider themselves a bit aggrieved by the clueless idiots on the Football League`s transfer tribunal after the panel bizarrely ruled that Danny Graham could cost over £500,000.
The Football League, who remember have done little to support Watford over the last 2 seasons, have chosen to defy logic and common sense (and their own rules) to protect the little man by reaching an initial £200k decision backed up by 5 installments of £30k based upon reaching 75 games…
…so expect Graham to be sold on or sent out on a season long loan when he hits the '74` landmark with the Hornets.
In addition, Golden Graham could cost the Hornets an extra £200k if they get promoted within the 3 years - and has a 15% sell on fee of built in as Carlisle laugh all the way to the bank.
Once they`d taken off their striped shirts, mask and put down their SWAG bag, the Carlisle representatives bleated they're "asbsolutely chuffed to bits". Watford chief exec Julian Winter reckons "… the fee represents good value for our money".
Sadly, we don`t agree with him and reckon that the Hornets have once again been thoroughly robbed with some fans quick to call it a "disgraceful decision".
No wonder Crystal Palace felt astonished when the panel ruled Spurs to pay only a handful of buttons for wonderkid John Bostock a few years back…On today`s evidence, this panel would have billed him out at £80m!!!!
Still, at least Golden Graham seems to have formed some great understanding and a solid partnership full of goals, goals, goals with Hungarian hitman Tamas Priskin who…. ya kidding, Ipswich? £1.7m! Bugger!!?!
