Keane still er, keen on Priskin

So, Braveheart Watford boss Malky Mackay reckons that no bid has been received from Ipswich Town but it appears that the Tractor Boys could well be closing in on the Hungarian hitman.

Last week Sky Sports reported that the Hornets had dismissed a £1m+ bid for their kid off the Eastern Block but both Mackay and Roy Keane denied it all as nonsense.

However, it`s all kicked off again over the weekend after Keano was allegedly "spotted" at Vicarage Road during Watford`s 3-2 win over Parma on Saturday and "left" shortly after Tamas was withdrawn (with a goal and an assist to his name).

The Mirror reckon that this all means an "improved bid" (though they quote £1m) is on it`s way and an unnamed source has suggested that "Keane believes he can push through a deal" for a player who clearly has eyed the Premiership as the place to be.

This, plus Sky`s revelation that Priskin has turned down a new contract all make Watford`s lack of 'fficial news a bit concerning.

Malky might indeed state "There is nothing at the moment in terms of Tamas" but when a gaffer insists "I would have to look at it and then react" if a bid was received, well it just feels a bit like preparing for the worst!

This is a man, that paid £9 million for a scottish goalkeeper, £5 million for Chopra. he then takes the biscuit offering £1.2m for Priskin. Double it and i think a deal could be done.
