Watford boss: There will be activity

Braveheart Watford boss, Malky Mackay is "expecting" plenty of comings and goings as the transfer merri-go-round hits full speed with a week to go before the season`s curtain raiser…

…but reckons he`s "happy" with the squad as it is right now if the exit and entry doors were shut off for good!!!

The Hornets might have only bought in 3 players so far but Malky told the W`Observer that he "is still looking to strengthen" and added "we have still been working away…".

Malky added "…I am expecting football all round to be busy next week and it won`t get any quieter until September 1...we are coming up to the week before the season starts and there will be activity."

After returning back from the Spanish sun with a pair of 1-1 friendly draws and a neck red raw with sunburn, no doubt, Mackay was quick to reiterate that he was "delighted with the way they trained, their work ethic and their team spirit".

And, in brief gaps between applying aftersun, the Braveheart Hornets boss added " if that is the group we take into Doncaster then I will be happy."

Well of course he would be…if Smithy, Priskin, Williamson, Demerit, McAnuff and Loach are all in the Watford squad come August 8th, then, here at VitalWatford Towers, we`d be happy too.

Ecstatic in fact!
