KitAid collections @ Watford open day

KitAid collections @ Watford open day

Watford have confirmed that, once again, the club will be running a KitAid charity collection point at Vicarage Road during this Sunday`s club open day [2nd Aug] to take in any unwanted replica shirts.

KitAid, who celebrated their 10th Anniversary in Watford and have Sir Graham Taylor as their Patron Saint, have dispatched over 70,000 old footie shirts to over 30 different countries such as Tanzania, Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso and even Eastern Europe (I bet they love those "Priskin 15" shirts in Budapest!).

So, if you have heading down to the Watford Open Day (and you really should) why not drop off that grotty ol` 1992-93 kit with Blaupunkt on the chest or the AC-Milan inspired red and black away kit and do your bit for charity.

Rummage through the loft for the rather tight-fit Umbro effort from the 1980s that proudly displayed 'Eagle Express` and give that to a new welcoming home… you won`t be able to give it away on ebay anyway!.

Home shirts, away shirts, even a keepers jersey with Baardsen 13 on the back - KitAid aren`t fussy!

Just think of the excitement a kid in Africa will have when he receives a 2004-2005 away shirt with Doyley on the back…. Lloydinho for world domination!!!

If you need any more encouragement then heed the words of Sir Graham Taylor, who said "…the willingness of football clubs at all levels to have kit collection days, shows that football as a whole does indeed have a caring side."

…and you wouldn`t want to let Sir Graham down now would you?
