Watford 'lack etiquette' - Carlisle

If you think Watford`s beef with Reading is bit strong then trust us, it`s nothing compared to the anger that`s boiling over at Carlisle with the Cumbrians spitting feathers with the Hornets.

Ok, we admit it`s a bit rich of the Vicarage Road hierarchy to get the transfer tribunal of ol` Golden Graham postponed due to pre-arranged friendly commitments in Spain but, boy, now it`s plain getting out of hand.

Yesterday the local rags up on the border revealed that the Carlisle management team are 'privately angry` with their counterparts in WD18 and accused Watford of causing their 'transfer plans to be thrown into chaos".

But, the flame has all stepped up a bit this morning with Brunton Park boss Greg Abbott bleating that Watford "lack etiquette".

Oooo get you.

Abbott told the West Cumberland Times & Star "It is very frustrating because Watford have already done their business and left us hanging…I`m not sure it is good etiquette".

He added "Watford haven`t broken any rules but, from an etiquette point of view, it is not good for us."

Ah, it`s almost as good as when Hereford accused us of 'bullying tactics` over the whole Lionel Ainsworth transfer a few seasons ago… and look how well that turned out!

They do have a point but this postering is purely about Carlisle trying to up the ante, although I still believe the settlement will be in the region of £50-70K. Let's get it sorted and move on.
