'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'Anuff now of the Reading links!

Guess what… Brendan Who? now wants Jobi McAnuff for £800k - the same price he offered for Smithy!!!

Just because the right Royal shower in Berkshire can`t afford top target Tommy Smith that doesn`t mean they will automatically turn their attentions to the Hornets other flankster…

Well, apparently it does, according to the dog-earred hacks at The Mirror, who reckon Reading are "trying to sign" Jobi as Rodgers is "a big fan" of the Watford wideman.

Those in the know in tabloid-land reckon the Hornets are holding out for £1.2m for the ex-Palace flyer, who, only last week, said he was overjoyed by the appointment of Malky Mackay and was excited about the future at Vicarage Road.

Ok, so Jobi did add that he "was raring to go" - but presumably he didn`t mean it quite so literally.

jobi 1 is a good player on his day,but he is un-consistent does not score enough goals, even when he is through on goal he tends to shoot wide of the mark.Watford can afford to lose him,we have cover in harley and travner, and some promising academy players coming through that could be just as effective on that left-wing.

This is all starting to get a little tedious, but hardly surprising as Buck used his previous club knowledge to bring players in to the Vic last year, He's a decent player on his day, but I'd take £800k for him given he's a free agent at the end of the summer. However it must be very unsettling for the squad to have continuing rumours about who's staying and who's going...
