Bang!...and Watford release Al

Amid all the mounting speculation surrounding Al Bangura`s exclusion from the 2009-2010 squad list, Watford have confirmed they have parted company with the Sierra Leone midfielder.

And its all been done by "mutual consent" apparently with Bang Bang`s agent, Tony Finnigan, claiming "the whole thing is extremely amicable".

Bangura, who has been a fringe player at best over the last few seasons, had been frozen out of the first team after a pre-season training amp spat with the gaffer last July and then left for international duty without the consent of the management!

But it hasn`t left a sour taste in Al`s mouth mind you as his representative added that he "loved his time" at Vicarage Road and "will never forget what [Watford] have done for him".

Let`s face it he`s had no room for complaint! The club stood by him through the 'love rat` shenanigans with the News of the World and went out of their way to scrap it out with the Home Office to keep him safe and sound on British shores.

Bangura now "wants a fresh challenge" and by all accounts "there is interest in him"...

Let's just hope that "interest" is from League One and NOT the eagle eyed official in the immigration department.

What a decent lad al bangura came across as,this one player i really wish the best for the future.A decent player still, given a chance elsewere im sure he would do a great job,not your attacking mid-fielder type, more defensive like essien of chelsea, maybe not quite as good, but at this level, league one he is as good as essien in my mind..Best of luck Al

Personally, i'm glad to see the back of him, one good thing he did was get stuck in to Savage one night. apart from that, went missing too often. Maybe it was not just his footballing skills that wfc did not want around, to those that new him and who lived near him, the person was far from decent.
