Jure service bolsters Watford defence
Watford are hoping they`ve unearthed some Eastern promise after snapping up Slovenian left back Jure Travner from little known Balkan outfit NK Celje.
The former Slovenian U21 international defender has signed a 2 year deal with the Hornets for an 'undisclosed fee' (grrr don`t you just hate that!).
The 'fficial site reckons he`s 'quick and aggressive' - which conjures up images of a cross-breed of Usian Bolt and er, Paul Robinson - and if his solid first half showing in the 3-0 win at Wealdstone is anything to go by then he might well be a very good find by the scouting team.
Watford reckon they 'beat off competitive from other English clubs for his signature' which is nice to hear except that NK Celje state that a League One club was also interested - so it might not be that impressive after all.
Travner can also play at centre back though at only 5ft11, VitalWatford would recommend we keep him at fullback.
