Forget the usual suspects - a host of fresh, new and surprising names have been thrown into the ring as the speculation merri-go-round hits full speed ahead on the Watford managers job.
The Vicarage Road vacancy has attracted more than 50 candidates and there are a few choice pickings amongst the list.
But whilst the bookies have Hessenthaler, Wise, Gibbs and Mackay as the front runners there`s a few faces that are starting to make the VitalWatford boys sit up and say "um, interesting"!.
Paul Lambert - the current Colchester United boss - is linked with the Hornets hotseat in the The Daily Mail this morning. Andy Scott - the up and coming gaffer of recently promoted Brentford - has revealed that he is "aware that Watford have shown an interest" whilst Terry Burton continues to be tipped in various sources.
Elsewhere, and the tabloids reckon Alan Pardew is being interviewed as part of a 5 man shortlist whilst Gus Poyet`s name is now mentioned as scrapping it out with his ol` sparring partner, Dennis Wise, for the job.
Ok, so the odds reckon that it will be one of the well of the well documented former players but hey, with such an array of talent (and er, Alan Curbishley) in the frame it`s seems good sense that the Watford board will "take their time to find the right man".
