Kabba driven out of Watford

Kabba driven out of Watford

He went to rock Blackpool… and they sent him back. He went to Oldham and they sent him packing… Now Watford have finally managed to bundle Steve Kabba (and his solitary goal) out of the door marked 'Emergency Exit` for good as his contract expired.

Kabba has spent the past 2 and a bit years dumped in the Watford wilderness dubbed as just another one of Aidy Boothroyd`s bad buys since his ill-fated move from Sheffield Utd - and when he did play he was stuck out on the wing to mind his own business.

Now after 29 games, 2 unsuccessful loan spells and a countless pairs of colourful boots, Watford have gotten rid for good though the official site reckon it`s "by mutual consent".

In fairness, it gives Kabba time to find a new club (rumours of a return to Palace have been quashed after speculation that a trial didn`t go to plan) and allows the Vicarage Road moneymen to count the cost of their expensive mistake.

Sure it was an error of judgement - and at £500k - a costly one at that but to call him "the worst player ever to play for Watford" as some online forum tags are, well that`s frankly harsh and totally unfair…

…have these people completely forgotton about Jamie Moralee?

I can think of a lot worse than him, Trevor Senior foe one, his effort was there, but he was never a striker or winger, was a lot of money on a below average player, you really do have to question Boothroyds aquisitions, to me it was apparant, players he had worked with turned out ok, other players, he was either ill advised or just did not have a clue.
