FA slap fine on cash-strapped Hornets

Watford`s empty club coffers took yet another knock yesterday after the diddery old members of the FA disciplinary panel slapped the Vicarage Road moneymen with a fine.

The cash strapped Hornets will have to dig deep to pay the £7,500k fine issued for a few shenanigans at Ninian Park - so presumably the electricity meter will be kept switched off and hot water tank set to cold in WD18 for the next few days.

The fine relates to the end of Watford's 2-1 defeat at Cardiff on March 18th when each and every Hornets player took offence at the award of the penalty 52 minutes into injury time for a ball that hit Ross Jenkins chest -

And quite right too - it was a decision that beggared belief. The Hornets, who admitted the charge of failing to ensure its players conducted themselves in an order fashion" have no option but to foot the bill…

Meanwhile useless official Mr Hall, just like the rest of the hopeless men in black, gets away without having to pay the price for his quite woeful inability to do his job properly.

How about the FA start taking a long hard look at it`s own refereeing and fining the rubbish refs accordingly? By VitalWatford`s reckoning blundering babyfaced official Stuart Atwell`s saving account should be £1/2m lighter.
