VitalWatford Award 08-09 : Vote Now

After some scallywags voted for the likes of Mat Sadler, John Eustace and Gareth Williams for the official Watford Player of the Season trophy, VitalWatford thought we`d have our own bit of tom-foolery and run our own awards.

First up, and sticking with tradition, it`s the VitalWatford Player of the Season award.

To make it a little bit fairer and less of a one horse race so to speak, we`ve taken young Tommy Smith out of the running for this one (call it an unofficial crown shall we)…

DrWatford has whittled the short list down to 13 key performers for the Golden Boys this season - some regulars and some last minute loanee entries for you to vote on.

So who has done enough to earn the first VitalWatford crown this campaign?

Have your say and vote now in the online poll to the right >>>

We`ve also got plans for Outstanding Performance of the Season, The Stuart Atwell Award for Bizarre Contributions at WFC, Scrappiest Goal of the Year and Strangest Post Match comment of the Season!!!!

So keep coming back to us for all things yellow and all things a slightly bit silly.

Winners will be announced in due course (or until we've rigged the result to suit our headlines)

close one, defently young player of the year jenkins, cork and cowie have been excellent in midfield also, mcanuff improved his game i think but still falls bit short in expectations, specially in front of goal, tamas been a surprice recently,he has great technique, good pace, and scored plenty of goals recently, rasiak also been impressed with, gives us that target man up front, very much like him to be with us next season,at the back demerit and williamson linked up very well, can see that partnership staying the same next season, mariappa versitile, doyley committed some great performances, especially against chelsea, for me scott loach, just because he has done so well, made the number one spot his own, apperances in the england under 21 squad, fine performances, consisstantly, one for the future, scott gets my vote

My votealso went to Scotty Eldlive - Loach has been immense given his age and the lack of defensive cover we showed in the first half of the season... Such an asset to have for next season and if his distribution improves he could be our Ben Foster kicking us to promotion.

Agree with you guys, although can not see why Scott can not pick up both young player and plaer of the year awards, i think Pat Jennings did.

Jenkins has got to be running him close for Young Player of the Year. I still can't see anyone bar Smithy winning the Player award (though what price on Doyley at the moment?)
