'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Former Hornet King courted…& bailed

It would be fair to say it`s been a turbulent 15 or so months since Marlon King left the warm and comforting arms of Aidy Boothroyd at Vicarage Road - and yesterday it got a darn sight worse….

King will miss Middlesborough`s 'Welcome Back to the Championship` end of season party after seeing his hearing at the City of Westminster Magistrate court - for allegedly "sexually assaulting and punching" a 20-year female at Soho Revue nightclub - adjourned to May 14th.

No 'Relegation at the Riverside` knees-up for King then it seems as our once loved Marlon will face a much sterner end of season showdown at the Southwark Crown Court.

Let`s face it, the boy (it`s a stretch too far even for us to call him a 'Premier League star" like some online sites) has previous even before he landed in WD18 but a charge of "sexual assault by touching and occasional ABH" would be a record too far even for Aidy Boothroyd`s patience - and we know how much our former gaffer loved a bad boy.

Wigan Athletic must be at their wits end. They`ve done everything they can do to get shot of the £5m flop from the JJB wage bill - shipping him out to Hull (where he fell out with everyone) and Boro - but few Premier League teams are gonna touch him come the summer.

And that`s even before his shoddy goalscoring return of 7 goals in 41 top flight games gets called into question.

The player welfare staff at Craven Cottage must be sighing a huge sigh of relief.
