O'Driscoll: Watford as good as anyone

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll has paid credit to Watford`s work effort and style of play ahead of today`s clash a the Keepmote Stadium, insisting "are as good as anybody" in the Championship.

When the sides drew 1-1 back in Brendan Rodgers first game in charge the Hornet`s coaching team were waxing lyrical over Rovers` beautiful passing game but now it seems the boot in on the other foot.

In fact, O`Driscoll reckons that the Hornets transformation has been outstanding - even suggesting that they could`ve been a threat to the division`s high flyers based upon recent performances.

He told the Sheffield Star "Had this been the start of the season, then based upon the reports we`d have said that [Watford] are a side which will do well".

O`Driscoll added that the Hornets are "a good unit" stressing "They try and pass the ball and have got good movement…their front 6 are good…they have got a nice balance about them and they`ve got a good work ethic".

And to cap it all he reckons "Watford`s back four is solid"… Which really isn`t something we`ve heard much of this season….

I must admit when we visited you in November and Rodgers had just taken over you was in deep trouble. He's certainly turned it round for you in the second half of the season.
