'If It's Football, It's Vital'

3 and easy for Watford's Cowie

Watford`s all action midfielder Don Cowie collected a hat-trick of back-to-back Team of the Week nominations after being named (again) in this week`s 'Championship finest` by the Football League.

Cowie has only had a month in the rough and tumble of Championship life since his 50k switch from Inverness Cally Thistle but 3 'Team of the Week` slots on the bounce will surely get noticed by George Burley and his 'tartan` army of international pedigree scouts.

But Cowie`s not the only Hornet having a good time of it (and impressing the panel who decide on all things 'weekly`). Oh no, Jobi McAnuff finds himself selected on the wing after giving both Forest and Wednesday the run around in the last 7 days.

In fact, it`s a bit of a 'Hornets Bonanza` this time around with 2 current Golden Boys and 3 Vicarage Road 'rejects` getting the nod.

Representing all things 'former Hornet` in this week`s Championship finest XI is a strike pairing of Hendo and Bouazza whilst Clarke Carlisle gets a defensive berth after impressing for 5-star Burnley.

The Championship Team of the Week in full then:

Taylor [Brum]; Buxton [Owls]; Carlisle [Burnley]; Fonte [Palace]; Naysmith [Blades]; Small [Blackpool]; Zhi [Charlton]; COWIE [Watford]; McANUFF [WATFORD]; Henderson [Blades]; Bouazza [Brum]
