Eustace packs his pride off to Derby

If you thought the red and white surroundings of Bramall Lane was the 'destination of choice` for departing Hornets then think again… the delights of Derby appear pretty high on the wish list these days!!!

The latest to be lured from WD18 by the bright lights of Pride Park is John Eustace - presumably lured by the 'wish you were here` postcards from Jordan Stewart and Duke Ellington.

Once dubbed as 'Watford`s warrior` by former boss Aidy Boothroyd, Eustace has joined the Rams on loan until the end of the season as Brendan Rodgers looks to offload the unwanted former Cov and Stoke man from the wage bill.

Eustace saw his pride turn down a loan spell at League One strugglers Brighton Hove Albion on transfer deadline day insisting he was still good enough to play in the Championship - and he will get his wish all thanks to Nigel Clough.

But let`s face it, having made just a 15 minute pre-Christmas cameo appearance (v Norwich) in 16 games under Rodgers, anything is better than being stranded out cold in the Watford wilderness…even if it is Derby!!!

I know im going against other opinions, but i liked Eustace, he is committed player and bearing in mind he paid with his own money for a knee op in the usa, he nver flinched out of a tackle, good luck to him
